Beer Pairings (because you asked so nicely)

I’ve had a few of you ask for beer pairings for the last couple recipes I’ve shared, so me being the guy I am…y’all can just figure it out for yourselves.

I’m kidding, of course.  After all…this is one of the 3 reasons I’m here, right?

ORANGE MAPLE GLAZED PORK PAIRING – BROWN ALE

beer-tap-dukes-smallMy recommendation is the lovely beer I’m holding in the pic at the top of this post.  Brewed by Bold City Brewery in Jacksonville, FL (#DrinkLocal), this is one of my favorite Brown Ales.  With hints of chocolate, caramel and a smooth nutty finish, its sweet/mellow flavor will go wonderfully with the pork (which always takes well to sweet flavors).

REDNECK MISO RAMEN PAIRING – JAPANESE RICE LAGER

sapparoHERODon’t bother digging into your craft beer selection for this one.  A no frills recipe calls for a beer of the same caliber.  I recommend Sapporo.  You can get it anywhere and it works swimmingly with the flavors of soy and miso.

Now take a break from reading my blog and start drinking!
